“A classic European bob has been my number one most requested style so far this year,” says Cleveland. “This cut is flattering to most face shapes and due to its shorter length (mid-neckline and above) helps to redirect the eye up which ‘visually’ lifts the face giving a more youthful, elegant appearance.” Bautista notes that she specifically loves a shaggy French bob on mature women.

We’ve seen quite a few pixie cuts on the red carpet this season, including Brie Larson and Emma Stone. If a full pixie feels like too big of a jump for you, Bautista recommends trying a pixie bob. It still has that cropped cut ease but with a bit more hair to play with.
