In the Prime Video series, Biel is seen rocking a blunt-cut bob and an ultra-toned physique, so much so that her toned arms have been getting their own buzz across social media. In true, candid Biel style, though, the Total Recall star took to TikTok to clarify to fans and followers that her on-screen physique is not an attainable one.
Jessica Biel Gets Real About Body Standards in New TikTok
In a recent episode of The Better Sister, Biel steps out in an almost completely backless white dress, and fans immediately ran to her comments asking for her workout routine, specifically how she keeps her arms and back so rock solid. But, instead of perpetuating the unhealthy beauty standards that can so often permeate social media today, Biel took a different approach to the topic.
“I wanted to share that that peak shape in that show is not maintainable unless you are living the strictest and most rigid lifestyle with your nutrition and with your fitness, which I cannot do,” Biel said on TikTok. “So I’m currently back on my plan to sort of get a little bit back toward that shape.” Taking time to highlight how women, especially as they get older, feel a pressure and desire to keep their bodies toned and strong, and while Biel is all for a good workout, she's also all about realistic expectations and honoring what feels good. “I’m tired," Biel said at the end of the video. "My body’s not 20 years old anymore, you know? So I’m adjusting my workout to what I need to do.”
