After being questioned by a fan about a small, circular Band-Aid on her face, Frankel replied that she’d recently “had a growth removed.” When another fan asked if she’d gotten fillers, Frankel wrote, "No. Basil (sic) cell. I don't do fillers. My jaw is the size of Pittsburgh. Nothing needs enhancement."

According to the American Cancer Society, basal cell carcinoma is the most frequently occurring form of skin cancer. About 8 out of 10 skin cancer cases are found to be basal cell carcinoma. It usually develops in sun-exposed areas like the face and neck.

This news comes just a week after another Real Housewife star, Tamra Judge of the Orange County series, revealed she had been diagnosed with skin cancer again for the second time this year. As Frankel continues to raise money for Hurricane Harvey victims through her charity, B strong, she’s also raising awareness about the importance of having your skin checked periodically, especially when you notice changes.
