One of our favorite images is from her Immaculate Heart High yearbook with her birth name Rachel Markle. While most of us would cringe at the idea of anyone seeing pictures of us at 17, we’re not surprised to see how beautiful the possible future duchess looks.

As media and fans alike take guesses as to what she will wear and how she’ll do her hair and makeup, one Twitter follower is keen on her wearing her hair curly and natural. “Starting a petition to get Meghan to wear a fresh wash & go around the palace,” Kamie Crawford wrote.

Because we’re used to seeing Markle with a sleek, wavy blowout (similar to her future sister-in-law’s), these gorgeous old images are a great reminder as to who the real Meghan is and why we love her so much.
