We hear it over and over again, but if this woman’s story of being treated with discounted filler doesn’t scare you straight, most likely nothing will.

As reported on by South Bend Indiana’s WNDU 16 News, Tracie Samara, who is telling her filler nightmare in hopes of lending a “word of caution” to others, was “bruised, swollen and nearly blinded” around her eyes after “seeing an ad in the paper about a contest that offered free non-invasive facial rejuvenation.”

Samara admits she “had no idea” what was being injected into her face and it took her “awhile to realize something very wrong was going on.”

Although she’s just now sharing her story with the press, it’s been 11 years since she got the bunk treatment at 44; she has since removed the filler from her face and received radio-frequency treatments to create new collagen.

“I’m starting to come back,” she told WNDU 16. “And I hope I come back even stronger.”
