The Secret to the Sleek Bun
Taking to Tiktok, Riley shared the simple process behind the already iconic look.
“A ton of you had questions about the look that we created for (Sofia’s) rehearsal dinner,” Kathleen begins. “It was so stunning and beautiful. To get the look, I used the UNITEU Oil and the Got2Be Glued Gel.”
On screen, Riley shows us the full look on Richie. The bun rests on the crown of her head, not too high or too low, and lets loose only a few wispy strands to frame her face.
“Once I had the oil in and the gel, I pulled out some pieces on the top to give it some texture,” Riley explains. “I do her buns in sections, that’s the key to a really snatched bun.”
After carefully pulling the hair into place, the rest was a simple braid.
“Then, I did a rope braid and just twisted it up into the bun that it is and pinned it. We left some pieces out over her ears, which I thought was really beautiful,” says Riley.
