It may have the tree and some next-level holiday displays, but a freezing-cold New York isn’t necessarily the place you want to be on a dreary December morning—just don’t tell that to Bravo’s resident southern belle, Madison LeCroy.

“I never know how deep to go with the spray tan when I’m up here!” laughs LeCroy during an early-morning meeting downtown. Sporting a gray sweater dress with pearl embellishments and her signature voluminous blowout, the Southern Charm standout (the show premieres its tenth season this Thursday at 9 p.m. EST) may have started on the series as the “single party girl.” But as the franchise’s notes share, after just one year of marriage and the loss of her father, this season finds LeCroy focusing on family.

“Without giving anything away, I think it’s safe to say some of us grew up this year,” shares LeCroy of her Southern Charm castmates while categorizing her own role as “very vulnerable” this go. “But it’s always still a good time.”

Bravo fans are looking forward to the premiere. How do you prepare for all this press and travel when you have to promote Southern Charm?

Honestly, I feel like I’m pretty good under pressure. I like to just wing it. I never like to overthink it. I just go with the flow. It ends up always being a good time.

Do you have any kind of wellness routine when you’re on the road? Do you get your sleep?

I try to sleep as much as I can. If I can get six hours, I normally do pretty well. But, yes, it’s hard. I’m in my comfort zone at home. When I travel, I’m strictly business.

What’s your nighttime routine like when you’re on the road?

I always do my skin care at night! I definitely like to go to bed with good skin care. That makes me feel my best. I do like to have a bath…but in New York, that’s hard to find. Actually, my trick to unwinding at night is always having a little candle with me. I have a favorite scent that I like to light at night and that calms me down. I’m a firm believer in bedtime scents. I bring my perfume, spray that on at night and it relaxes me.

What products are you liking right now? I know you’re a big beauty person.

Oh my God. If I told you what I packed, you wouldn’t believe me. It’s anything and everything. I’m always willing to try new things. I always love a good lip mask. I’ve been loving the Tatcha lip mask. It’s one of my favorites. All their skin care is all great.

What am I loving the most right now? I feel like I get these PR packages every day, so I end up changing the skin care and I wonder why nothing’s working because I switch them all the time!

I love Oribe hair products. I feel like I can wash my hair with that, go to bed, wake up, and it already looks halfway done.

Yes, their line is amazing. Are there any brands you’ve used forever?

I have been using L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara since it first came out. However long ago that was! I won’t tell, but a long time.

What do you do for your beauty treatments? What does the regular look like for you appointment-wise?

Appointment-wise, it’s pretty booked and busy. I do facials pretty often…every six to eight weeks. My girl is extremely booked. I let her look at my skin and figure out what I need—whether it’s hydration or a laser or treatment. I just go with the flow, but I am always on my facials.

I’m also all about my spray tans because they’re unlimited. I feel crazy coming to New York because I’m like, “Let me get a light instead of a medium.” In New York, I’d look crazy if I was way too tanned.

You look great. I know you can’t spill all the secrets, but what can you share that you’re excited for fans to see with the new season?

Well, I think it’s safe to say you’ll see my most vulnerable side. We’re all evolving…and growing older and wiser—at least some of us. It’s going to be a totally different side to Southern Charm that no one has really seen before. It’s going to be really good. I think people are going to love it.
