Real Housewives of New York alum Jill Zarin took to TikTok to share with fans that she’s been offline for a month while recovering from a recent upper eyelift to correct hooding that she says she noticed while watching herself on the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Zarin shared that she thought what she needed was a full facelift, but the 58-year-old reality star chose to focus on her upper eye hooding instead with an upper blepharoplasty.
“It took me a long time to get there, but I was very unhappy with my eyes,” said Zarin. “I have hooded eyes, but the skin here, as I’m aging, got looser and looser. It was literally like hanging down to my eyelashes and I finally did something about it.”
Zarin said the procedure happened at her surgeon’s office under twilight sedation and lasted under an hour. “It was such an easy procedure for me. I went in, I was the first patient, always be the first patient because that’s when the doctor is fresh, everybody’s fresh…so I went in and was under about 45 minutes before coming out…recovery was very simple.”
Three weeks out from surgery and Zarin says it’s been the easiest recovery you can imagine. “I finally wanted to share with the world what I look like and you really shouldn’t notice it, but I finally have eyelids back and the skin is tight. And look you can barely see you can barely see the scarring,” she told fans.
Next up for the reality star is a visit with New York dermatologist Dr. Patricia Wexler, who she says is going to “fix up” lines, wrinkles and jowling in the lower face. “I let all the Botox and filler out because I thought maybe I would do a full facelift after seeing myself on the show this summer. I thought I needed full facelift, but I don’t, but I do need Dr. Wexler,” she said.
