The 43-year-old actress debuted her chic new cut in Paris at the 68th Ballon d’Or Ceremony on Monday, October 28. Not only did she go short, but she also styled it in soft, beachy waves that added the perfect amount of texture and volume. Falling in line with her chin and parted to the side, her tousled-yet-elegant look made quite the statement on the red carpet—and has us itching to book our own salon appointment.

As celebrity colorist Marley Xavier previously shared with NewBeauty, committing to a drastic change like a bob can be incredibly refreshing. “Cutting your hair into a bob is a great way to do that, especially if your hair has been damaged or is looking a little tired,” he says. “Bobs are timeless, can be extremely versatile, chic, edgy, playful, you name it. They most definitely have that ‘it’ factor.”
