As I sit here with my seasonal rewatch of Gossip Girl playing in the background, I can’t help but think one thought: Blair Waldorf‘s favorite holiday is coming up! While most people associate Thanksgiving with family, friends and food, any Gossip Girl lover like myself can’t help but associate the holiday with the iconic Upper East Side it-girl herself. And, her incredible Thanksgiving hairstyles.

Throughout the many seasons of the New York-based drama, some of the most iconic episodes take place on Thanksgiving, with Waldorf at the helm, proclaiming her love for the holiday and making sure everything goes perfectly (spoiler alert: it never does). If you’re looking to channel Waldorf this Thanksgiving, without the family drama, here are some hairstyles to sport to Thanksgiving dinner that we know would have her stamp of approval.

Thanksgiving Hairstyles Blair Waldorf Would Love: All Things Accessories

“Accessories would be something Blair would certainly wear on Thanksgiving,” says creative director, master stylist and colorist Paul Labrecque of Paul Labrecque Salon and Skincare Spa. “Whether she would wear her hair half-back or half-down, sport a low side ponytail or go fully down with a crowning headband, I picture her in fall colors, so her headband would likely be wide and maybe have a bow on it to complement the entire look. I’m thinking shades of amber, beige and gold. She would definitely dress up her hair to make her look even more festive for the occasion!” Ahead, some easy, TikTok tutorials for hairstyles Labrecque agrees have Waldorf written all over each.

Blueprint Blair

In the above hairstyle by TikTok user Elise Hoogerdijk, a timeless, simple Waldorf style is at work. The style starts with a classic, it-girl blowout courtesy of the Dyson Airwrap ($600) and some velcro rollers. It is finished off with a glossy red headband placed right in the middle of the scalp. This style allows for that quintessential Waldorf look—a perfect Thanksgiving hairstyle.

Baby Bows

While this style by creator Betsy Moulthrop may be inspired by a different NYC it-girl, the look would totally win Waldorf’s heart. It features not one but two of the key Waldorf hair elements that Labrecque mentioned: a chic pony and a bow. Waldorf’s tastes are feminine and traditional. This textured pony wrapped perfectly with a simple black bow would definitely make her list of Thanksgiving hairstyle ideas.

Half-Up Half-Down

A half-up half-down is another classic Waldorf hairstyle, as Labrecque pointed out. This look by TikToker Delaney Childs totally nails it. Childs starts by curling her strands towards her face with a flat iron before tying up the top half of her hair (parting it from the eyes). Then, she wraps a cream-colored bow around the pony to hide the hair tie, making for a simple yet chic Thanksgiving hairstyle.

Sophisticated Updo

In the above video by user Olivia Hatcher, two different Waldorf-inspired bow hairstyles are shown. The first look is so on point my jaw literally dropped. Hatcher starts by placing her hair in two low pigtails at the nape of her neck, before parting the mini ponies and flipping the tails through, creating a gorgeous twisted look. She then pins the tails up to create a sophisticated updo style and secures it with a beautiful bow.

Golden Girl Pony

This final style by TikTok user Addi brings both Gossip Girl worlds into one hairstyle, creating the brainchild of Serena and Blair in one blinged-out pony. Addi starts with a low, messy pony, before adding gold hair cuffs about four inches apart down the ponytail. The low, updo style evokes everything Waldorf, but the gold accents and trendy vibe add the perfect amount of Serena, for an oh-so NYC Thanksgiving hairstyle.
