The Jonas Brothers are all grown up. The pop boy band, made up of Kevin, 34, Joe, 33, and Nick, 29, reached international stardom at a ripe age and continue to sell out arenas almost two decades later.
While frontman Joe is also a songwriter and actor—his latest project, Devotion, is set to release later this year—the multi-hyphenate father of two (he is married to Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones fame) just added another accomplishment to his list: He is the latest face of Xeomin, an injectable wrinkle-reducer.
“Making the decision to have an aesthetic treatment was really about self-care and looking and feeling like the best version of myself,” said Jonas in a release.
In an interview with PEOPLE about Xeomin’s new “Beauty on Your Terms” campaign, Jonas peeled back the curtain on his view on aging and cosmetic treatments. “I don’t think it’s necessarily something that we have to shy away from,” he says. “We can be open and honest about it and be confident and not really shy away from speaking our truth.”
Sharing that he’s specific about what he puts into his body, cosmetics included, Jonas shared that after consulting with his healthcare provider about the injectable, he felt comfortable giving it a go. “As I explored options with my doctor, it was important to me to understand exactly what was in a product before I am treated with it,” reads the release. “That’s one of the main reasons Xeomin has become a complement to my skin-care treatment regimen. It provides me with consistent results for my frown lines without any unnecessary ingredients.”
Jonas says he treated his frown lines and a scar between his eyebrows with Xeomin and he’s loving the results. “I liked that it relieved the area a little bit and I was like, ‘Okay, this is great,’ without it being too much for my liking,” he says. “I appreciated that it wasn’t over the top. It’s very light.”
Keeping a solid skin-care routine is also important to Jonas. His favorite products, he tells PEOPLE, are mainly from Kiehl’s, “especially the Kiehl’s Facial Fuel collection” and the Facial Fuel Eye De-Puffer for early mornings. According to Allure, Jonas is a fan of sheet masks. “The Bro Mask is great. So when I’m traveling, it’s a good example [of a product I use], like after a long flight when I have to wake up and go straight to work. It’s nice to put on a face mask. They also have eye gels: it wakes you up a little bit, especially if you’re right off a plane. It’s nice to have options.”
As you can imagine, the Jonas Brother doesn’t let his skin-care routine slip when he’s on the go. “I have everything in travel size,” he says. “There’s one WOW Hair product that I’m obsessed with, and it doesn’t come in travel size. Usually the first stop when I land somewhere is to go buy that product so I have it with me everywhere.”
“To me, there’s nothing more beautiful than confidence,” Jonas tells Allure. “And looking your best comes from feeling your best. I make it a point to prioritize practices and routines that make me feel like the best version of myself.”
