Whether you think James Bond or Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, we all have iconic characters that immediately come to mind when we hear the name Jane Seymour. Throughout her career, the now 72-year-old has undoubtedly left her mark on the film and television worlds, and now, the star is opening up about all things aging, including the cosmetic procedures she’s gotten throughout her career.
Despite previously denying undergoing any cosmetic procedures, Seymour got real with The Times this week, revealing that she has in fact had plastic surgery throughout her career. “My eyes were done when I was 40 and at the same time I had my boobs done,” she begins. “The guy who did it said to me they didn’t make the implants that small. I had to get a special order. I thought I had made a big mistake but I think that was probably, you know, after breastfeeding a bunch of children.”
Though this may be the first time Seymour has detailed the plastic surgery procedures she’s had, the star has always been candid about her secrets to staying youthful. Back in 2020 as our NewBeauty winter cover star, the actress told us she believes “having good skin is really the secret to not aging your face.” Seymour swears that “using retinol at night, protecting yourself from the sun, using the great skin care that plumps your skin…and pretty much anything that makes me feel healthy, is the best anti-aging secret I know.”
Though she may not have yet opened up about her own cosmetic procedures, she assured us back in 2020 that, when it comes to plastic surgery, specifically facelifts, she has “nothing against any of it, nothing… I’m not saying I’d never do it, but I haven’t done it yet.” Regardless, we love Seymour for her healthy, positive outlook on aging; as she told us back in the days of quarantine, “there’s not a lot for me to complain about. So, yes, please, let me get even older! I just like to be alive. Everything after that is a bonus.”
