4 Makeup Tricks To Fake a Good Night’s Sleep
By Margaret McGriff |
Whether you’re still reeling from daylight savings or you've just pulled an all-nighter, looking as tired as you feel just makes it harder to get through the day. Luckily, there are four quick things you can do with your makeup to help you look well-rested.
Use a Little CC Cream
When you're just too tired to put on a full face of makeup, use a CC cream to get the moisture, nutrients and coverage your tired skin needs. Giorgio Armani’s 'Luminessence CC' Color Control Bright Moisturizer ($52) does that and more, delivering an energizing boost of antioxidants, as well as SPF 35 protection.
Brighten Up With White Eyeliner
Swap out your usual black liner for a white one, which can instantly brighten you up with just a few swipes in the inner corners of your eyes. A great one to use is Aqua Eyes from Make Up Forever ($19) in pearl white sheen. It glides on easily with rich color that lasts all day without smudging.
We know that concealer is a tired woman’s best friend, but take it up a notch by setting it with brightening powder. Laura Mercier’s Secret Brightening Powder ($24) sets under-eye concealer while adding another layer of natural radiance.
Tint Your Lips
Give lips a little TLC and some color with a tinted lip balm like Sugar Lip Treatment from Fresh ($23). Available in more than 10 shades, it uses real sugar, along with oils and vitamins A, C and E, to hydrate lips for up to six hours and protect them from aging UV rays.
