Surprisingly, This Position Gives You Your Best Night's Sleep
Do you toss and turn all night trying to get comfortable? Or are you one of those lucky few who finds the sweet spot the moment you hit the bed and then snooze away snuggled up all night long? If you fit in the former category (unfortunately, I'm included in that one, too), you'll want to tune into these results of a recent survey on sleep positions.
As reported on by DailyMail, mattress manufacturer Sealy polled 5,000 people to find out which position they slept in and how well they slept. Until now, researchers studying the subject have always touted side-sleeping to be the position for the best-quality snooze because it mimics the fetal position and helps keep the airway open so breathing isn't an issue.

However, according to this new survey, the best way to get a good night's rest and wake up feeling more refreshed is to sleep in the "starfish" position, spread out on your back. As the findings reveal, some experts say "sleeping on your back allows your body to rest, preventing any pain or discomfort during the night or in the morning," but others are wary because "instances of snoring and sleep apnea are much more frequent" in this position, which can result in a groggy feeling come morning.

Starfish: 30 percent
Freestyle (moving between positions): 25 percent
Left side: 23 percent
Right side: 22 percent
Front sleeper (on your stomach): 21.5 percent
