Instagram's Newest Brow Trend Has Some People Feeling Very Uncomfortable

Brows are a bit of an obsession in the beauty world, from microblading to thin brow throwbacks. Now there’s a new brow trend in town—feather brows. Think it's ridiculous? Youre not alone—the whole thing started off as a joke.

It’s reported that makeup artist Stella Sironen started the trend with a single Instagram post stating, “so I’m starting this new brow trend please recreate it and wear it everyday and don’t forget to tag me like and subscribe.” She explained that she created the bird-like feather brows using a glue stick and Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow pomade.
Then the look took off. Beauty bloggers and beauty gurus have been recreating the look all over Instagram tagging #featherbrows. This poses another good question, will people copy anything these days in the name of following a social media trend?

Sironen later revealed in another Instagram post that the whole thing was actually just a joke. "Note to self: when u make a joke about starting a funny brow trend people will take it seriously and . . . well, start the trend."
