This New Revolutionary Beauty Brand Is Out to Change the Way You Buy Makeup

For beauty buyers who mix both premium brands and their more affordable drugstore counterparts into their makeup bags, the revelation that a higher cost doesn’t always mean higher quality is nothing new. With makeup and skin care, the idea that a higher quality product should command higher prices is ingrained in our thinking, and to be fair, there are times when you do end up getting what you paid for. There’s a new beauty brand launching that challenges that line of thought and plans to revolutionize the way you buy makeup.

Beauty Pie
, a digital-only UK-based beauty brand started by Bliss Spa and Soap & Glory founder Marcia Kilgore, promises to be a beauty lover’s dream come true. The idea behind the brand is to cut out the middle man and allow consumers to purchase products directly from the same factories where many luxury beauty brands are made. It’s as easy as signing up for the service and becoming a member (membership is rumored to be somewhere around $13 a month), which allows you access to $7 foundations, $3 mascaras and $5 lipsticks without sacrificing quality.

“It’s a beauty addict’s buyer’s club,” Kilgore told Vogue UK. The brand plans to have full transparency in regards to the ingredients, formulations of the products offered and where and how they cut down prices (including scaling back on luxe packaging). For beauty addicts that don’t want the full membership experience, the products will still be available for purchase, but at a higher cost than for members. You can get your own piece of the Beauty Pie when the brand launches December 8.

So many boxes, so many products, so much Beauty Pie... #beautypie
