A recall on nearly 2 million pounds of ready-to-eat chicken (the kind that come prepackaged, preseasoned and precooked as strips or cubes from brands like Tyson and Hormel) was just issued by National Steak and Poultry saying that the food may have the potential to be undercooked.

Products purchased between August 20, 2016 and November 30, 2016 should be discarded immediately. The recall has been labeled as a class 1 meaning, “A health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.”
Better safe than sorry.
