The vibe is rich and luxurious, but is distinctly defined by certain elements, such as the color palette. According to Briceno, rosy shades, ranging from soft pinks to robust mauves, are essential for creating the trend’s signature flushed look on the cheeks and lips. Warm sparkly hues, such as peach, gold and bronze, are also prevalent as they exude natural luxury. Celebrity makeup artist Erika La’Pearl adds that earth tones are just as important. Whether used to line the eyes or add shadows, they deepen the look and keep it from looking too demure. The finishing touches also play a big role in this makeup trend. How to do Turkish delight makeup

Like the popular aesthetic, the eyes are the primary focus of Turkish delight makeup, while the cheeks, lips and skin play a supporting role. The eyes should be dramatic with a soft, shimmery shadow to catch the light and a dark black liner to emphasize them. “The look usually consists of a defined wing with a white or nude liner on the waterline to give the appearance of large doll-like eyes,” says La’Pearl. It’s important to note that while there is some smudging, you don’t want the products to look too diffused. “Use a bold black or sharp liner to draw the wings of the cat-eye, then slightly smudge the shadow under the eyes for a dramatic effect,” says Briceno. Both artists agree that full, fluttery lashes are essential to completing the eye look. The cheeks receive a light stain from rose or berry tones and the lips are topped with a gloss in the same hue. As for the skin, Briceno mentions that the finish should be fresh but not too glowy. “A hydrating primer and a lightweight, luminous foundation will give you that 'lit from within' base, perfect for Turkish makeup,” he says.
