White and gray hair has been getting tons of good press lately, from Hilarie Burton Morgan to Andie MacDowell. As if the cause needed more star power, we just got a glimpse of Salma Hayek proudly sporting white hair on her beach vacation, and we’re feeling extra empowered.
“Yellow bikini + White hair = perfect combination,” writes Hayek beneath a photo of her in a yellow bikini on a boat in Ibiza with her dark hair pulled into two thick braids with some gray hair poking out at the roots. In a second picture, Hayek pulls her hair back against her head, making the white hair even more visible.
This is far from the first time Hayek has brought attention to her graying hair, and we’re sure it won’t be the last. In March, she shared a video showing off her gray hair while sitting for a styling session. The 57-year-old star even shared a hack for covering up grays when you don’t feel like rocking them. She revealed that sometimes she brushes the grays with mascara to camouflage them.
Even back in 2023, before we saw the gray hair revolution we are now, Hayek wasn’t hesitant to share her natural hue. “Bring on the wisdom,” she wrote on a carousel of photos showing how her grays are showcased when wearing her hair back.
