Rashida Jones has officially taken her relationship with Hårklinikken beyond the treatment chair. The 50-year-old actress and filmmaker has joined the Danish scalp and hair-care brand as a partner and creative advisor, a role that will include work on creative strategy, product innovation and consumer engagement.

Hårklinikken specializes in personalized treatments designed to address thinning hair and support long-term scalp health. The company is best known for its custom Hair Gain Extract ($102), which is formulated based on individual hair and scalp needs, along with shampoos, conditioners, supplements and other targeted products.

For Jones, the partnership stems from nearly a decade of personal experience with the brand. “I’ve been a client of Hårklinikken for years, and the results have been transformative—not just for my hair, but for my confidence,” she said. “What Lars and his team have built is unlike anything else in the industry. Their commitment to science, personalization and long-term hair health resonates deeply with me.”

According to Hårklinikken founder, hair scientist and researcher Lars Skjøth, Jones’ new role is a natural next step. “Rashida’s intelligence, authenticity and creativity make her an ideal partner for Hårklinikken,” Skjøth said. “She truly understands our mission because she's lived it. Her insight and passion for helping people feel confident in their own hair will be invaluable as we continue to grow.”

Founded 34 years ago, Hårklinikken is continuing to deepen its focus on women navigating hair and scalp changes at every life stage. Jones’ own experience makes the partnership especially personal. Though she has dealt with hair challenges since a young age, she noticed they became more pronounced in her early 40s. After having her son, she experienced significant postpartum shedding, and as early signs of perimenopause emerged, the hormonal shifts led her to turn to Hårklinikken.

The announcement also arrives as scalp care and hair thinning continue to be major beauty categories. About one-third of women experience hair loss at some point in their lives, per Harvard Health, and among postmenopausal women, that number may rise to as many as two-thirds. For Hårklinikken, bringing Jones into a leadership role gives the brand a more personal voice in a space increasingly defined by science-backed solutions, hormonal hair changes and long-term scalp wellness.
