Few people can turn a wash day routine into a headline, but Beyoncé’s hair days are newsworthy. The global superstar gave fans another peek behind the scenes of her hair care regimen in a new ‘Cécred Sunday’ video, highlighting her go-to products from her popular Cécred hair care line.
“It’s a Cécred Sunday, and my hair needed a little TLC,” Beyoncé captioned the video, where she sits in a salon chair, addressing her fans with, “Hey y’all, it’s my Cécred Sunday wash day.” She then dives into her full routine, starting with the Cécred Shampoo and Scalp Scrub, explaining her method: “I take my time and apply to my scalp in sections because I want to make sure it gets in there really good—especially on those edges.”
Next, she reaches for the Hydrating Shampoo, applying it in sections as well. “Look at that lather,” she says. “Notice how I’m keeping the hair straight, parting it into sections, and shampooing one section at a time. That’s one of my secrets—no matting or tangling. Please pause it, flip it, and reverse it. Get into those strands coming out of those hair follicles.”
After the deep cleanse, Beyoncé conditions and then styles her hair into a simple bun with minimal product, giving fans a close-up of her natural hair. “She ain’t perfect, but she’s squeaky clean,” she says at the end of the video. “Is she Cécred? I think she’s Cécred.”
Fans were quick to comment how thrilled they were to see her natural hair at every stage of the process. One commenter wrote, “Not Beyoncé being ‘Becky with the good hair’ this whole time.”
Beyoncé first revealed her natural hair routine to fans back in April, just a couple of months after the launch of her Cécred line in February. The singer has credited growing up in her mother’s hair salon as the inspiration behind the line, saying, “I saw firsthand how the way we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls.”
