Believe it or not, we’re not that far removed from a time where menopause was considered a taboo topic. While the discourse around reproductive health and menopause is much more open now than it once was, we still have a long way to go in the fight for menopause education and support.

While it’s not as tabooed as it once was, studies have shown that currently, 62 percent of women going through menopause haven’t talked to their doctor about it yet, and over 70 percent haven’t spoken to their spouse about it, proving that the embarrassment and confusion surrounding the hormonal change is ever present.

While the name Kenvue may not ring a bell immediately, you undoubtedly use products made by brands in the Kenvue family on the daily, from Tylenol and Zyrtec to Neutrogena and Aveeno. Priding themselves on being an organization that makes self care and health care accessible and effective, Kenvue announced just this morning the launch of their innovative new menopause resource platform, Versalie.

What Is Versalie?

In hopes of helping menopausal individuals access information and support during this major life change, Versalie is a first-of-its-kind menopause resource platform that takes a holistic, head-to-toe approach to managing the symptoms that come with menopause. On the platform, you can read expert-backed content about menopause, shop for menopause-related products from vitamins and probiotics to supplements and more, and even match with and talk to a menopause-certified clinician.

As the data has shown, the majority of women don’t feel comfortable bringing up menopause to their primary care physicians, but with Versalie, menopausal individuals can rest assured that the professionals they book virtual visits with are expert-trained in all things menopause, providing personalized care, seamless prescription delivery and more.

Not only does Versalie have everything you need to feel educated and empowered when it comes to your menopause journey, it also has an iconic celebrity ambassador: Niecy Nash. From Reno 9-1-1 to The Rookie: Feds and Dahmer, Niecy Nash is a busy woman, but that hasn’t stopped her from going through the magical yet confusing transformation that is menopause.

At an exclusive launch dinner for Versalie last night, Nash revealed that one of her earliest memories when it comes to reproductive health and feminine wellness is when she got her first period and her mother said “you’re a woman now,” to which she replied, “I don’t want to be a woman, I want to be a lady,” quoting her grandmother’s adage that “hair and some paint can make any woman what she ain’t: a lady,” as the inspiration.

“Fast forward to when I experienced my first hot flash—I thought that was all there was to menopause because no one was talking about it,” Nash explained. “I was so happy to find Versalie and go on the site, which is curated for women like me. I love that you can speak to experts, I love the storefront where you can shop for products to help you, all of it spoke to me and I thought ‘well, I want to help get the word out.'”
