We’ve told you that the hot, celebrity-loved workout Physique 57 can transform your body into a lean, mean, fat-burning machine in as little as four weeks. But what we haven’t told you, yet, is that there are also some pretty stellar diet secrets to support the workout, promising that you could lose up to 10 inches (or 10 pounds) in two weeks while following the plan.

Outlined in the book The Physique 57 Solution creator Tanya Becker and Jennifer Maanavi not only share the dance-inspired isometric moves that have brought about the barre revolution, but also the specific “powerhouse” foods and meal plan that can get your body to perform at its peak to torch stubborn fat and create a long, slender body. The recipes included cut calories, rev your metabolism, and shed “false fat”-the water weight, bloating and inflammation that result from eating certain types of foods.

The plan starts by jettisoning the junk from your diet, which they summarize as processed foods, wheat, sugar, corn, soy, milk, low-fat, sugar-free foods, artificial sweeteners, iodized salt and alcohol. Then you fill your body with macronutrient-rich foods like lean protein, greens, fruits, healthy grains and fats. Along with the diet, the book offers helpful ways to spot “calorie culprits.” The biggest pitfalls that can pack on the pounds: Mixed alcoholic drinks, sports and energy drinks, bread baskets at restaurants, passed hors d’oeuvres at parties, granola, pre-made smoothies, pasta dishes, salads at salad bars and foods that are marked as “fat-free.”

So does the diet dedication pay off? Just ask actress Parker Posey, who says “In just two weeks I fit into my jeans from high school!” Well jeez, if there is one thing from high school we want back, it’s definitely our figures. The quarterback boyfriend and rampant insecurity? Not so much.
