GLP-1s have become ubiquitous with celebrities and family members alike using them as a tool for weight loss. However, muscle loss and long-term mobility often get left behind when a patient relies solely on GLP-1 medications to shed pounds. Weight Watches and Pvolve have teamed up to create a program that infuses strength and longevity into the weight loss platform, rather than treating movement as an add-on. This partnership signals a shift from Weight Watchers as the brand sets out to to redefine success beyond the scale with strength and sustainable health as equally important goals as weight loss.

As part of the collaboration, all Weight Watchers members will get access to select custom, clinically-backed Pvolve workouts through the Weight Watchers app. There are workouts designed for a variety of fitness levels and life stages, including a specialized series for women in perimenopause and menopause and a dedicated GLP-1 strengthening series. If you find yourself craving more workout options beyond the free offerings, Weight Watchers members have the opportunity to unlock the full Pvolve library at a special reduced rate.

This partnership is an integral part of Weight Watchers’ refreshed ethos to include strength-forward, longevity-focused movement as part of its program, highlighting the brand’s shift towards more holistic, comprehensive care. The brand’s shift reflects the understanding that muscle and mobility are just as important as nutrition and medication when seeking sustainable weight health.

Pvolve is a go-to for middle-aged women looking to build strength, including Jennifer Anistion. The brand notes that women lose three to five percent of muscle mass per decade beginning at age 30. Luckily, Pvolve’s workouts have been shown to help partially offset this decline. “In a 12-week Pvolve program, participants experienced significant increases in lean muscle mass and improved lower body strength by 19 percent.”
