From Kris Jenner to Anne Hathaway, it feels like most of the recent discourse surrounding celebrities on social media revolves around who’s going to the office for cosmetic treatments, who has a “new face,” you know the drill. But, while hyper-speculation about celebrity plastic surgery could make A-listers more wary, we’ve actually seen more celebrities come forward about what they use to look and feel their best in the past few months. The most recent addition to that candid squad is none other than Hairspray‘s Ricki Lake, who detailed her recent cosmetic work on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week.
Ricki Lake Talks Hair Loss and Plastic Surgery on ‘WWHL’
Before they could get into much else, Cohen had to applaud long-time talk show host and actress Lake on her radiant appearance, and the on-screen icon took the opportunity to jump right into what she’s been doing lately to feel her best. Starting first by addressing her naturally gorgeous gray strands, Lake explained “I shaved my head six years ago because I was dealing with hair loss and then I let it go and never colored my hair again, and my hair grew back,” before getting real about the in-office procedures she’s also opted for to help enhance her confidence.
“I also had—which I’ll reveal to you now and I’ve told some other people—” Lake began cheekily, “a lower face and necklift.” The candid admission prompted an immediate round of applause from the audience, and Cohen himself immediately responded with major praise. “I kind of think it’s the best facelift I’ve ever seen,” Lake joked before giving a much-deserved shoutout to her Beverly Hills doctor, Allen Foulad, who she says is the best and to whom she’s recommended several friends. Cohen himself agreed that it’s some of the best, most seamless plastic surgery work he’s seen on his show—and he’s seen a lot!
