We haven’t even hit the halfway mark of March, and Gigi Hadid has already debuted not one but two bold hair transformations, both courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos. A couple of weeks back, she surprised fans with silver strands, and most recently, Thursday, March 13, to be exact, the pro unveiled his client’s latest look from a Vogue shoot: a dreamy pink hue that lands somewhere between strawberry blonde and pastel rose.
But this wasn’t just any high-fashion photoshoot. The temporary-yet-iconic hair change was for Vogue’s recreation of Hairspray‘s “You Can’t Stop the Beat” music video, an especially fitting full-circle moment for Hadid. The fashion magazine’s April 2025 cover star once played Amber Von Tussle at just nine years old, making this tribute a stylish nod to her roots two decades later. She was joind by big names including Laverne Cox, Cole Escola, Alton Mason, Marc Jacobs and more.
The video kicks off with Hadid in the soft pink wig, styled in glamorous, retro waves. But that was just the beginning. Throughout the recreation, she also rocks a long, voluminous brunette look with thick bangs and chunky highlights, as well as sky-high, teased chestnut brown hair. And here’s the video to see each of the statement-making hairstyles in action.
