The ever-beautiful Christie Brinkley has been one of America’s most cherished models for decades. As she’s grown older, we’ve watched as she’s aged gracefully and joyfully. The 69-year-old recently revealed that she’s at peace with her gray hair and even shared a picture of the silver strands on Instagram.
“The second you see gray hair it raises the question, just like when you cut bangs…to keep or not to keep?” writes Brinkley below her recent post. She notes that it’s a relief that keeping it or dying it are both just a matter of “personal preference or a fun change of pace.”
Brinkley goes on to say her son thinks the gray hair looks cool. While she doesn’t mind the gray hair, she’s not sure if she’s ready to commit to it full-time. “I think I may want to wait till it’s more like the silver whitecaps than the grey wave itself! The verdict is still out !” she writes.
Commenters were split, some supporting the natural shade while others were encouraging her to dye it to conform to societal standards. Brinkley joins the rank of other celebrities who have happily embraced their graying hair, including Andie MacDowell, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jamie Lee Curtis and Helen Mirren.
