We have a well-documented love affair for all-things rosé (makeup, deodorant, popsicles—we really fall for it all), but there’s a new booze in town that’s about to take over. Código 1530 Rosa ($65), the new pink tequila you’ve probably already seen on your Instagram and Pinterest feeds, is raising eyebrows for not only its taste and picturesque quality, but its surprisingly low calorie count, too.

While many tequilas ring in at around 100 calories per ounce (and other spirits can boast much steeper calorie counts), Código 1530 Rosa only has 61, making it one of the healthiest and low-calorie options available. Even better, zero chemicals, flavors or sugars are ever added to the bottles: The infusion of award-winning red wine reacts with the agave in the tequila to create the pink hue naturally. To create its soft finish and floral notes, the tequila is then rested in uncharred Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels.

But don’t just take our word for it, many nutritionists and health experts have advocated for tequila as a healthier alternative to other wines or spirits, too, making this a no-brainer (as if it wasn’t before). For starters, it has been found to lower blood sugar and cholesterol and lower triglycerides, and in turn, cholesterol. If you’re thinking what we’re thinking, you can order this must-have summer staple here or find where it’s stocked near you. Cheers!
