The Best New Fragrances This Month
Balmain Beauty Destin De Balmain Eau de Parfum ($130)
The brand's first prestige fragrance is a bold, fruity-floral scent (it's also refillable) that instantly boosts your mood. “Destin de Balmain features a joyful, optimistic spark of ripe strawberry,” says perfumer Quentin Bisch. “The fruit’s juicy vivacity brings bright, elevated sweetness to the composition. Notes of peony further convey the feeling of rosy fullness, and notes of creamy sandalwood anchor the fragrance in strength and luminosity. It has an irresistible, electric energy.” And how stunning is the bottle?

by/Rosie Jane Matilda Eau de Parfum ($86)
A bit fruity, a bit sweet and totally fun, this passion fruit–forward fragrance is sure to put a smile on your face. "Inspired by my daughter’s spirit, it’s a fragrance that encourages you to find your own passion and chase it boldly," says Rosie Jane Johnston, founder and CEO. "MATILDA is about celebrating life’s vibrant moments while still feeling soft, approachable and unmistakably BRJ."

The 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam Eau de Parfum ($94)
Founder Barb Stegemann’s memories of strawberry picking as a kid helped bring this indulgent, nostalgic gourmand to life. Though it’s a treat on its own, it also pairs perfectly with the brand’s best-selling Buttercream Haze EDP for a “playful, cozy, jam-and-frosting” vibe.

diptyque Orphéon Eau de Toilette ($195, launching February 18)
A lighter version of the brand's beloved Orphéon fragrance created by perfumer Olivier Pescheux, this woody-floral eau de toilette was brought to life by perfumer Nathalie Cetto. Diptyque describes it as capturing "the energy of an evening just beginning—bright citrus, lively spices and a warm, woody-musky finish—offering a fresh and modern take on the iconic scent."

Lancôme Idôle Peach N’ Roses Eau de Parfum ($149)
At the heart of this fruity-floral fragrance are juicy peach (an extract called Peach Alcoholate Orpur that was developed by Givaudan and smells as real as it gets) and damascena rose absolute, which is the brand’s signature flower. It’s fresh, feminine and perfect for the upcoming spring season.

Le Labo Fragrances VIOLETTE 30 Eau de Parfum ($340)
A love note to the rarer white violet flower, this genderless fragrance “pairs verdant green floral notes with white tea, cedarwood and a touch of guaiacwood.” Its aldehydic nuances and well-balanced composition give it unique yet timeless appeal.

Noteworthy Scents n,768 Golden Reign Eau de Parfum ($140)
For those of us who can't get enough of the warm, cozy vibes right now (most of the country has basically been hibernating this winter), this new gourmand is one to try. Sweet and ambery with a bit of jasmine at the heart, the scent was inspired by "the warm, addictive profile of nature's nectar: honey. Like dipping into a fresh, unopened jar, each spritz indulges you in a comforting, soothing embrace that leaves you craving more."

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 Jelly Perfume Balm ($26)
The newest way to get your Sol de Janeiro fragrance fix, these pocket-size jelly balms are adorable and fun. The alcohol-free, nonsticky formula glides onto skin wherever you want to smell good, and lasts up to 10 hours. This dessert-like scent, Cheirosa 62, is the brand's first-ever icon (the same as its Bum Bum cream), but the balm also comes in Cheirosa 68 (fruity floral) and Cheirosa 40 (warm floral). According to the brand, you can swipe each one on up to 1,000 times.

SIDIA MIDAS Solid Perfume ($48)
This solid perfume is so chic, and one you will definitely love pulling out of your bag. Inspired by founder Erin Kleinberg’s fashion background, the woody-amber scent smells expensive, but not overpowering. The brand describes it as "the golden touch [hence the name MIDAS] that is carried by icons who bring energy through simply existing—a confidence that does not need to be announced, because it already fills the room."

Parfums de Marly Athénaïs Eau de Parfum ($410)
The latest addition to the Maison’s Les Signatures collection, this modern floral scent was "inspired by Athénaïsde Montespan, the charismatic muse of Louis XIV and a symbol of wit, artistry and unapologetic presence." It's feminine, sophisticated and perfect for spring.

AllSaints Naked Woods Eau de Parfum ($125)
New from British fashion brand AllSaints is this bold, woody-amber fragrance that “starts with unexpected notes of fruit that are uniquely blended with green and woody undertones.” Inspired by the brand’s “rebellious spirit and industrial roots,” this unisex, yet slightly more feminine scent is an instant confidence boost for anyone who likes to step outside the norm.
