Summer means cookouts, gatherings and delicious (sometimes messy) food. Teaming up with actress and producer Regina Hall, a seasoned cookout host, Bounty—aka, "The Quicker Picker Upper"—held a BBQ at Arlo SoHo in New York last week, where Hall shared some of her best hot-weather cleanup tips and skin-care musts.

Why this partnership?

"Well, it made sense, because it's truly something I actually use in my real life. It's always good to be authentic—Bounty is truly something that I use in my life, and I use them often. I use so many paper towels; I almost think they've been spying on me. They probably saw my house, and they were like: 'Let's get the whole family in on this one.'"

What is your favorite cookout meal?

"Well, I love a spritzer, since it's usually so hot. I love some barbecue—wings, ribs, burgers. And I love the grill. I love baked beans, and love a potato salad and some macaroni and cheese."

What are some of your summer beauty favorites?

"All the sunscreen! SPF is always good. But I think summertime is so good for your skin; I don't think people realize how wonderful humidity is. It's almost like it can clean out your pores and give your skin a little glow. So I try to enjoy the natural heat, as opposed to blasting the A/C all day. I really think being in natural heat is good for your skin. It may not feel like it, but it is, isn't it?

Do you have any summer vacation planned?

"Gosh! This! Usually, I like to take one a year. I don't know about this year, because I'm working, but I'm going to try to sneak one in. The good news is I will be working in Nantucket and Nantucket is apparently beautiful—I've never been. So I'm going to sneak in a weekend off with a little Nantucket vacay."

And you'll be 55 at the end of the year. Are you excited?

"I don't even like how that rolled off your tongue! It feel a little violated by that number! I don't know. Is it just me? Listen, I'm very grateful. I have a lot to be grateful for...and so I will embrace it. I embrace every day alive. That truly is the gift."
