Whether it's on-screen in an episode of the heartwarming series Queer Eye or IRL demoing products from his self-made hair-care brand JVN Hair, we're used to seeing Jonathan Van Ness on the other side of the salon chair. As it turns out, so is he. Yesterday, Van Ness debuted their first hair color change in over a decade, and we could not be more obsessed.
JVN Gives Blonde a Go
When we think of JVN and their iconic, lustrous strands, a deep brunette shade comes to mind. So, you can imagine our surprise when we opened Instagram yesterday to find that the celebrity hair expert had transitioned to the blonde side of things. With a crisp color by New York colorist @gcpainted, Van Ness' new 'do features a warm blonde balayage that compliments their complexion so well it looks natural.
"Y’all I haven’t gotten my hair color done since like 2011?" JVN revealed in the caption for his blonde bombshell hard launch, before sharing a sweet anecdote about seeing his products on the salon cart. "Getting to be a client with my haircare line existing in the world is so full circle," the Queer Eye star gushed. And as to his new look, he's loving it too. "I feel gorgie af."
