As prime-time Mondays heat up, Watson returns to CBS, claiming one of television’s most coveted slots—and all eyes are on Eve Harlow. The effortlessly captivating actress once again steps into her role as Dr. Ingrid Derian, the sharp and mysterious neurologist whose blend of intellect and intrigue made her a breakout favorite in Season 1.

A sequel to the timeless Sherlock Holmes story, Watson follows Dr. John Watson (Morris Chestnut) as he builds a new life, diagnosing rare diseases that test the limits of modern medicine. But this season, it’s Harlow’s poised, enigmatic presence that elevates the series from procedural to must-watch drama.

After last year’s shocking finale saw Ingrid dismissed from the practice, her return in Season 2 promises a fresh edge of emotion and intensity. Beyond the screen, Harlow brings a modern allure to the role—equal parts brains, beauty and quiet power—making Watson’s watching nights not just a viewing habit, but a stylish new ritual. Ahead, we chatted with the star about everything from stepping back into character to the skin-care tools she swears by off set.

Congrats on the second season. How did it feel when you got the call that Watson was renewed?

"Oh my God, it was so exciting. I've never been on a show that's gotten a second season! It's so exciting for multiple reasons. I love my character. I love our cast and crew. I just feel very lucky that I get to do a second season in these circumstances where everything, just all the check boxes are checked off."

Is it tough to get into character since the show is somewhat scary and it's also medical?

"The medical jargon is definitely difficult, but it's also a challenge. But I like challenges! [laughs] I think the fun thing about acting in this career is you never know what you're going to get next. Every single day is different. When I get the script, I read through it immediately—that's the first thing I do. What's medical jargon? How many words do I have? How much do I have to stress out about it?"

How do you get away from the character when you wrap at the end of the day? Are you pretty good at stepping out of it? I'm assuming the filming schedule is pretty stacked.

"I don't have a formal ritual when it comes to the end of the day…I think reading helps me a lot. It's the ultimate escape from your own life and the chance to step into somebody else's shoes. Even if whatever I'm reading, it's not escapist in terms of being a light subject matter, but in terms of being able to just completely leave your own worries, your own life behind, and see the world from another person's perspective."

Do you have any skin-care products you love on set for getting ready or removing makeup?

"We use a lot of iS Clinical products. It's basically just their products that we use on set. They're great."

Do you do anything for fitness or wellness to keep going with the schedule?

"This is really nerdy, but I've really gotten into YouTube fitness videos. This past December, I broke my ankle, but before that, I was doing Muay Thai. It was the first fitness regimen I got into that I really enjoyed. Not only do you get physically stronger, but you also walk through the world with more confidence.

In terms of facial stuff, I have a red-light mask, and I also use one of those ZIIP device things. I'm very into that at the moment."

Such a great device. The hardest thing is just making sure you do it!

"Yes, I know. Same with the red-light mask, which is eight minutes. When I don't do it, I'm like, '"'Come on, you have eight minutes! You can do this!'"
