The 78th Emmy Awards are underway, and women over 50 are delivering some of the night’s strongest beauty moments. We’ve already spotted statement manicures, polished waves, sculpted updos and vivid lipstick, with plenty more still to come. With first-time Emmys host Mariska Hargitay leading the way, these are the hair and makeup looks we’re watching tonight.

Mariska Hargitay

For her first time hosting the Emmys, Hargitay wore loose, polished waves created by hairstylist Adir Abergel using Virtue, Denman and Laifen hair tools, including the new Swift 4 Hair Dryer and AutoCurl Curling Iron. Makeup artist Kate Synnott used IT Cosmetics for her soft smoky eye, luminous complexion and warm rosy-nude lip.

Field’s nomination for Remarkably Bright Creatures comes 50 years after Sybil, the landmark television movie that earned her the first of three Emmys. She returned to the carpet with her silver hair in soft, tousled layers, rosy cheeks, a pink-red lip and dark frames, all set against a navy sequined gown.

Elaine Hendrix

Hendrix gave us a much softer look than her famously polished Parent Trap character, Meredith Blake. Attending with longtime friend and former costar Lisa Ann Walter, she wore her blonde hair in a loose half-up style with face-framing pieces and paired it with long lashes, rosy cheeks and a glossy pink lip.
