Few brands have a more fitting connection to Broadway than Laura Geller Beauty, so it makes sense that the New York–born brand had a major presence on the 2026 Tony Awards red carpet. Its roots trace back to Laura Geller herself, a makeup artist who built her reputation working backstage with Broadway performers and entertainers at her iconic Upper West Side studio.
Long before her formulas earned a devoted following on QVC, Geller was learning the demands of stage-ready skin firsthand, creating makeup that could hold up under hot lights, last through long nights and still look beautiful up close. That “performance meets polish” philosophy still defines the brand today, and it’s exactly why celebrity makeup artists turn to it for big nights.
What also sets Laura Geller Beauty apart is its commitment to mature skin—a commitment that was radical when the brand first made it and feels more necessary than ever now. “Since day one, we’ve formulated our beauty products to work with all skin types, especially the unique needs of those with mature skin,” the brand says. “It made us an outlier in an industry that caters to youthful skin, but we say it was cause for celebration!”
Since 2021, Laura Geller Beauty has exclusively featured women over 40 in its marketing and advertising campaigns—turning the spotlight on a consumer who has long been overlooked by the beauty industry and, in doing so, helping countless women rediscover their love of makeup.
That ethos showed up seamlessly on the red carpet. Laura Geller Beauty dressed the faces of two of the evening’s most celebrated actresses—Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Carrie Coon—with glowing, skin-first looks that felt timeless, polished and fresh.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Celebrity makeup artist Gita Bass had a clear vision for Louis-Dreyfus before she arrived at Radio City Music Hall. “Julia’s gorgeous Wiederhoeft dress was sleek and structured, so I wanted to keep the makeup soft and smoky to contrast, while maintaining some fun Tony’s drama,” Bass says. “The focus was on radiant, glowing skin and a bronzy eye that would pop and sparkle on both the stage and the red carpet.”
To get there, Bass started with the Spackle Original Champagne Glow ($38) and Baked Balance-N-Brighten Foundation in Medium ($38), layering in the Baked Blurring + Setting Powder in Light/Medium ($34) and Baked Bronze-N-Brighten Bronzer in Medium ($36) for warmth. A touch of Baked Blush-N-Brighten in Tropical Hues ($32) and cream blush and highlighter from the Best of the Best Cream Full Face Basics ($168) for added dimension, finished with the Baked Original Highlighter in French Vanilla ($24) for a lit-from-within glow.
On the eyes, Bass reached for the Kajal Longwear Eyeliner in Antique Bronze Kohl ($24), INKcredible Waterproof Gel Eyeliner Pencil in Graphite ($24) and The Delectables Baked Eyeshadow Palette in Timeless Tones ($56), working shades Trenchcoat, Sepia, Umber, Cashmere and Ebony for that bronzy, smoky depth. Lips were kept soft with the Italian Marble Lipstick in Dolce ($24), Modern Classic Waterproof Lip Liner in Purely Pink ($21) and a swipe of Jelly Balm in Sugar and Spice ($24).
Carrie Coon
For Carrie Coon, who wore a tuxedo-inspired look, makeup artist Rebecca Restrepo took a less-is-more approach. “The inspiration was classic beauty,” Restrepo explains. “Her dress is a take on a man’s tuxedo so I wanted to keep her makeup classic, but with the modern flair of fresh and not too much makeup.” Restrepo built the skin base with the Quench-N-Tint Lightweight Moisturizer in Light ($34) and Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer in Ethereal Rose Glow ($38), concealing under the eyes with Bright Stuff Illuminating Under Eye Concealer ($29).
Eyes were kept refined—a wash of The Delectables Baked Eyeshadow Palette in shades Sepia, Sable, Ebony and Cognac, sharpened with the INKcredible Waterproof Gel Eyeliner Pencil in After Midnight and defined brows via the Sculpt-N-Stay Waterproof Brow Pencil in Blonde ($26).
A pop of Baked Blush-N-Brighten in Beachy Horizon warmed the cheeks, while lips were finished with Modern Classic Waterproof Lip Liner in Major Mauve, Jelly Balm in Very Black Cherry and Fine Shine Glossy Lip Oil in Sweet Pink ($19) for a polished, modern finish.
