The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards are here—and this year’s manicures are really, really good. The annual celebration of the best in television took place Monday, September 14, with longtime Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay serving as host. Stars in attendance included Selena Gomez, Ciara Miller and Supriya Ganesh, among the many attendees who brought not only their fashion A-game but also—as promised—some of the night’s best nail looks, from intricate nail art to French manicures and beyond.
One of the night’s standouts was Gomez’s “sunset frost” manicure, created by her go-to manicurist, Tom Bachik. Known for sharing his celebrity nail looks on social media, Bachik posted the manicure shortly after Gomez hit the step-and-repeat. “The inspiration was her Louis Vuitton gown,” he said of the manicure. “We loved the whole look. It was like frosted gold, so I wanted that same effect on the nail, a frosted metallic. Subtle but special. We played with different textures, and Gel by essie Frost Yourself ($13) was the perfect choice.”
Ahead, take a closer look at Gomez’s “sunset frost” manicure and the other nail looks that stole our attention at the 2026 Emmy Awards.
