Having built some of the world’s fastest custom cars out of her own garage and winning her fair share of races in the driver’s seat, Emelia Hartford knows a thing or two about pushing the limits. Behind the scenes, though, a morning journal session and a coffee in bed help slow her down.
Always On
While she wishes she could bring her dog everywhere—a lovable Shiba Inu, to be exact—Hartford’s non-negotiable travel staples include her Canon G7X, a good lip gloss, sunscreen and her racing helmet.
Makeup Minimalist
A strong proponent for the “clean girl” aesthetic, Hartford’s everyday makeup routine is a natural-looking one, with her favorite products ranging from Rare Beauty blushes to YSL Beauty Lash Clash Mascara.
Head Space
“I wish I could say I’m a perfect person and I don’t scroll first thing in the morning. I do, however, love to journal, so I start every day by writing three things I’m grateful for to get my head right. Then I list out my ‘critical tasks’ for the day, which could include going to an audition or the gym.”
Movie Muse
“Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki is one of my all-time favorite movies, but I’ve also been really inspired by some of the newer releases. Emilia Perez, Anora, A Real Pain—everything being created right now is just so good.”
Bedside Manner
“I know this sounds crazy, but I have a Nespresso machine on my bedside table. I love waking up to the smell of coffee, so every morning I pop a pod in, brew it right there and drink my coffee in bed. It’s one of my favorite things to do.”
Skin Saviors
Before bed, Hartford opts for Garnier Micellar Water to remove her makeup, followed by her beloved OleHenriksen products, which include the Truth Juice Daily Cleanser, Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner and Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturizer. “I use those three products and my skin always feels amazing.”
