According to The Sun, a woman named Morgan Proudlock drank alcohol after undergoing lip fillers, which caused her natural-looking result to turn into something she never expected. By drinking immediately after her procedure, Proudlock's lips tripled in size, and she reports being in horrible pain, too.

"When I drank alcohol straight after having lip fillers and woke up like this," says Proudlock in her recent TikTok video. "The worst thing I have ever done, pain was ridiculous."

Alcohol can increase swelling and inflammation as it acts as a blood thinner. To be safe, it's best to wait 24 hours after receiving lip filler before consuming alcohol, even if it's just a small amount. For this same reason, experts suggest recommend avoiding alcohol—yes, including wine!—12 hours prior to your filler appointment.

In the comments section of Proudlock's post, one follower asked, "How much did you drink," which she answered with, "not that much." Others reacted with comments like "omg no way" and "I'm scared now." If you're unsure whether or not it's the right time to drink or if you have any other post-appointment questions, simply ask your board-certified doctor and follow their instructions for the best possible result.
