Anna Kendrick isn’t taking any chances with UV damage. In a recent interview with The Strategist, the 39-year-old actress shared her must-have essentials, and topping the list were her “two favorite sunscreens”: Mesoestetic Mesoprotech Melan 130 Pigment Control 130 ($60) and Josie Maran Protect + Perfect Face Moisturizer & Facial Sunscreen ($56).
"These are my two favorite sunscreens," she began. "The Josie Maran is for my body, and the Mesoprotech is for my face. They both have zinc oxide and titanium dioxide—ingredients that my dermatologist told me to look for. (Obviously, I did not know anything about these ingredients before he told me about them.) Both are tinted, and for someone as pale as me, it’s actually kind of nice. It makes me look like I have a little life in my face. They blend out really nicely and even out my skin tone. Weirdly, I get way more compliments on my skin when I’m wearing these."
The fact that both formulas are tinted is a noteworthy detail, but what really caught our attention is Kendrick’s choice of facial sunscreen with sky-high UV protection. Mesoestetic Mesoprotech Melan 130 Pigment Control 130 offers UVB 131 and UVA 67—numbers that go well beyond the American Academy of Dermatology’s minimum SPF 30 recommendation.
