Chalk it up to some expert staging or some really good taste in products, whatever the reason, Susan Sarandon’s drool-worthy real estate listing is worth a look for anyone who loves a good bathroom—complete with corresponding beauty products and awards—photo.
As listed by Sotheby’s and first reported on by The Wall Street Journal, the 73-year-old actress has put her duplex loft in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood on the market for a cool $7.9 million.
According to the listing, there’s 6,000 square feet, six bedrooms, five full baths, an in-room soaking tub, views of World Trade Tower to the Empire State building, and a private guest floor.
Besides what the realtors refer to as the “Academy Award bath”— a cobalt-blue painted room where Sarandon keeps all of the awards (including her Oscar for Dead Man Walking) she’s earned over the course of her career, there’s also some enviable beauty products that make the pictures.
“I thought it was kind of funny to keep them in the bathroom,” Sarandon shared with WSJ. “When people come out of the bathroom, I expect them to be laughing but they don’t say a thing. Maybe they think I’m taking it seriously.”
From what we can make out: The shower is home to what appears to be a body brush and cult-favorite Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish Exfoliator ($39), while the freestanding tub plays host to a mix of Aesop products.
Update: Designer Yael Weiss, who staged the space, confirms she used a mix of products from Byredo, Grown Alchemist, Aesop, Apotheke and Fresh—which she loves in particular because “their soaps are packaged so prettily!”
