Nowadays, all it takes is one celebrity manicure post or public appearance to totally dictate what’s hot in the world of nail trends. Lately, Selena Gomez is one of the people we’ve had our eyes on the most when it comes to new manicures, thanks to her life-long partnership with celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik. The pair are always churning out new shades and keeping us up-to-date with what’s popular.

But, what is even better than one celebrity shade endorsement? Two, of course! This week, both Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez and Avatar actress Zoe Saldaña debuted chic manicures featuring this red wine-inspired shade. We are bookmarking the style to our winter mood board ASAP.

Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña’s Bordeaux Berry Nails

At this year’s Elle Women in Hollywood celebration, film star Zoe Saldaña rocked a slicked-back hairstyle and a denim corset dress on the navy carpet. The best accessory of her look was her red wine-colored burgundy nails. Saldaña also showcased the style at the 2024 Governor’s Awards. While we don’t know the exact shade of Saldaña’s deep-berry manicure, Selena Gomez’s nearly identical mani might give us some insight.

Also attending the 2024 Governor’s Awards, Gomez and Bachik opted for a similar wine-inspired shade for the brand founder’s manicure. Bachik’s Instagram post of the set gave us all the information we need on this new, trending style. “The only Bordeaux we’re drinking is @selenagomez’s Governors Awards Mani,” Bachik wrote in the caption. “Flawlessly prepped with Tweezerman tools for those smooth and flawless cuticles. For this rich, elegant shade, I used Never Bordeaux You by Apres Nail ($15).
