By now, it’s no secret that we’re huge fans of celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik. With A-list clients like Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, and Heidi Klum, he’s the go-to for flawless nails, but today, it’s Hailee Steinfeld who’s stealing the spotlight. Bachik recently shared a #FlashbackFriday post of the actress sporting “lip gloss” nails, a trend that took over last winter and spring but hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves lately. According to the nail expert’s recent post, it’s a look we should definitely keep on our radar for fall manicures.
After a little digging, we discovered that Bachik originally shared the photo on August 1, captioning it, “@haileesteinfeld in a perfect summer nude.” The actress stunned in an elegant almond shape and a longer length with a glossy, neutral-colored polish that mimicked the shine and subtlety of a classic lip gloss.
Sadly, Bachik didn’t’ share the exact shade of nail polish he used, but the good news is that getting the look is pretty straightforward. “Lip gloss nails are really just sheer and jelly nail colors,” said nail expert and founder of Deco Beauty, Julia Dahbura,in a previous interview with NewBeautyabout the trend. V Beauty Pure educator Alison Martinez also chimed in that gloss nails are “high shine, sheer nudes, and pinks—think ‘clean girl’ era! They are very clean and very milky, with soft, sheer nudes and a high-shine top coat.”
