The Next Filler Frontier: Why You Should Ask for This Line of Fillers At Your Next Derm Appointment featured image

In the beauty industry, there are very few in-office treatments that stand the test of time. As the years pass by, these treatments are often phased out and replaced by newer, shinier options—but not dermal fillers. When it comes to enhancing your natural features and addressing signs of facial aging, fillers have a long-standing record of positive results. After all, a quick appointment is all it takes for one to have their lips plumped, facial creases softened, and shallow areas volumized.

That said, not all dermal fillers are created equal. Restylane, a line of hyaluronic acid-based injectable fillers, is currently an expert favorite thanks to its impressive XpresHAn Technology™*, which is featured in some of their most popular filler options: such as Restylane Kysse, Restylane Contour and Restylane Defyne.

“The Restylane portfolio has been on the market for quite a while and has always been reliable, predictable and safe,” confirms Miami physician assistant Ilanit Samuels, PA-C, MCMS, aka @LipLadyofMiami on Instagram. “As far as fillers go, Restylane is the gold standard.”

If you’re unfamiliar with this line of fillers, don’t fret. Follow along as we break down everything there is to know about the Restylane products that leverage this technology, as well as why they should be your first choice when discussing filler with your injector.

What makes Restylane fillers so unique?

According to Samuels, Restylane’s most impressive feature is its ability to create a natural look when injected.1 “With Restylane XpresHAn Technology products, I’ve found that patients do not feel as stiff, as they allow you to maintain movement, especially when you smile,” she explains. “First-time patients are often worried about looking over-filled, so Restylane is a great option for them since the results are subtle and natural-looking.”

Restylane’s ability to provide a soft, subtle, and natural-looking appearance1 is because of its aforementioned XpresHAn Technology*, which is designed to be extra flexible and integrate seamlessly into the skin.1,2 “[It] allows patients to showcase their wide range of facial expressions, ensuring that every smile, laugh, and even frown, are authentically them1,” shares Samuels.

In fact, when used in the lips—a particularly difficult area to treat—Samuels says this technology is ideal for providing optimal results. “Being known as the Lip Lady of Miami, I really love the benefits that Restylane Kysse provides,” she explains. “Restylane Kysse is a really beautiful product to create structure and build height in the lip, all while keeping patients looking soft and natural. It’s really a fan favorite of many injectors, myself included.”4†‡

Why is Restylane a great option for so many potential filler patients?

The Restylane brand recognizes that fillers are not “one-size-fits-all” and is always looking for new ways to celebrate unique skin stories.

As more people become aware of the benefits of fillers, experts have noticed a new wave of filler patients, making Restylane a top pick for many. “Fillers have been getting more diverse over the years, inviting more people of color, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, and men who have been wanting to receive fillers,” says Samuels. “People now realize that fillers can be for anyone, which is fantastic!”

Over the last decade, filler trends have also shifted, opening the door for more potential patients. “Over the course of the last decade, the pendulum seems to have swung when it comes to aesthetic trends,” explains Samuel. “Ten years ago, it was all about overfilled lips and unnatural facial and body proportions. It’s been nice to see that the pendulum has swung the other way, toward natural-looking appearances.”

Each filler in the robust portfolio of Restylane XpresHAn Technology products is for a different area of the face, covering all your bases when it comes to facial rejuvenation. For example, Restylane Kysse is for the lips3, Restylane Contour is for the cheeks4, and Restylane Defyne is for the chin5.

The bottom line

While there are various filler options available, Restylane’s XpresHAn Technology products allow users to embrace their natural expressions and stay true to who they are1. Encompassing this ideology, the Restylane brand is activating their #XpresYourself campaign, which looks to embrace every skin story and keep up with the latest trend of patients seeking natural-looking results.

So, if you’re considering fillers and want to elevate your look while still staying true to your natural self, Restylane Kysse, Restylane Contour and Restylane Defyne may be for you.
