Fall and winter are quickly approaching, and it’s already starting to show, both in my patients’ skin and in my own. As someone who has watched my skin change through my 50s, I know exactly what that seasonal shift feels like. The dryness creeps in, the glow fades and dullness sets in fast.
My rule doesn’t change with the seasons: sunscreen, antioxidants and a solid hydration routine are on repeat, no matter what’s new on the shelves. But it’s launches like the ones ahead that make getting through the dry months feel a little more exciting. Here’s what I’m reaching for this fall.
YISE Quenched Moisturizer and Xtreme Glow Serum
I am absolutely loving YISE’s Xtremely Quenched Glow Moisturizer ($68) and Xtreme Glow Plumping Serum ($68) right now. These peptide-based formulas definitely deliver what they promise—complete hydration and glow to the skin (thank you, Molly Sims). The packaging is beautiful, and the price point is one you genuinely cannot argue with. Both are really well done, and for skin that’s starting to feel the season change, that combination of hydration and brightening is exactly what’s needed.
Obagi At-Home Peel Pads
I’m also loving Obagi’s new CLENZIderm M.D. Resurfacing Multi-Acid Peel Pads ($100). The mix of acids gives your skin a gentle but effective push—the kind it needs all year long to keep its glow, not just in fall. A box comes with 30 pads, which lasts a couple of months and makes them incredibly easy to travel with. For anyone managing mature or sensitized skin like mine, that gentleness paired with real results matters.
EltaMD UV Lip Balm
Finally, EltaMD has launched UV Daily Peptide Lip Balm ($25), and it’s such a smart addition to any routine. It hydrates while also protecting the lips from UV radiation, and it’s loaded with antioxidants to help fight aging around the lips, which is an area we don’t think about protecting nearly enough.
