You would think the stress of 13 seasons of The Real Housewives of New York would age a person, but Ramona Singer is proof that a tried-and-true self-care routine can keep you looking and feeling your best through anything life throws at you. Fans have commented on the 66-year-old’s miraculously youthful appearance for years, and just this week, the RHONY alum finally opened up about just what she does to stay looking fierce.
Ramona Singer On Staying Fit
In the recent episode of Singer and her daughter’s podcast, Turtle Time, the Ageless by Ramona founder decided it was time to spill all her anti-aging secrets. After her daughter and co-host, Avery Singer, asked her “Benajmin Button” mother to talk wellness and beauty, Ramona was quick to get right into the details of her self-care routine. “I’m gonna share it all. I’m gonna share all my secrets right now. How’s that,” Ramona began. “I think the number-one thing that’s most important is the way you look physically, meaning physically fit,” she says. “There’s no secret to getting that [through] operations or surgery. You have to be physical. You need to work out. And it’s never too late to change your body.”
The mom-of-one continued to explain that a solid workout routine doesn’t have to be a financial burden, urging listeners to follow online workouts and explaining that she does arm exercises three or four times a week, and tries to get in at least 10,000 steps every day. “Walking. Walking. Walking. Walking. Keep active,” she reiterates “You have to keep active… If you have a good body, then you’re gonna look younger and you’ll feel better and you’ll have more energy.”
Singer’s Skin-Care Secrets
Though she didn’t give any specific product recommendations, Singer revealed on the podcast the skin-care ingredients she prioritizes in her routine. The native New Yorker swears by hydrating topicals with hyaluronic acid as well as products that contain Matrixyl 3000, which is a synthetic peptide shown to improve skin elasticity and collagen production.
But, above all else, Singer is never without a powerful sunscreen. “I would literally go to the beach and put a towel over my face,” she swears “The ozone layer is so thin now, the sun is so strong, even in the winter. You must always go out with sunblock on your face. And don’t forget your hands.” Her favorite SPFs include the Sobel Skin RX Mineral-Based Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ($48) and the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Moisturizer SPF 45 ($55).
Singer On Cosmetic Treatments
Though the star was not willing to detail just what cosmetic treatments she’s had done, she did admit that getting procedures done here and there have contributed to her ageless look. Singer’s daughter noted that her mother has never undergone a “full facelift,” to which Singer added that she’s “just done little mini procedures,” explaining that “I don’t like to admit everything I’ve done right now. But the key is to do things before you really need them.”
