This Viral Hair-Repairing Brand Is Finally Launching in Sephora

The K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Leave-In Molecular Repair Mask ($75) won our 2020 Innovations Award for a reason: it reverses damage on all hair types, it reconnects keratin chains and broken bonds and it restores each strand's elasticity. While we previously could only purchase this hair-repairer online and in salons, we will officially be able to shop it on sephora.com starting 12/21 and in-stores on 12/26.

Founded by tech and beauty expert Suveen Sahib, K18's background is in biotechnology and uses a computer to create the patented amino acid sequence that makes the product unique. By diving deep into the innermost layers of the hair to re-establish broken chains, this mask restores hair back to its healthiest state. This is the brand's only consumer-facing SKU, but it's hard-hitting enough to stand for itself.

To use the product, skip your conditioner and towel dry the hair until it's damp. Start with one pump of the mask and distribute it amongst your hair, adding more pumps as needed in order to cover your entire head. Let it sit for four minutes to activate before brushing and continuing with your day (or night).

In addition to launching in the mega beauty conglomerate, the brand is also rolling out a partnership with Plastic Bank, which has stopped over 2,5000,000 single-use plastic bottles and over 51,000 kg of plastic from polluting the ocean just in 2021 alone.
