When we saw Heidi Montag taking a bite out of raw animal liver on TikTok, our editor Slack channel was filled with questions and concerns. But the more we researched it, the more it made sense.
According to Medical News Today, organ meats are referred to as superfoods because they contain a dense amount of vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin B, iron, vitamin D and magnesium. They’re also chock-full of folic acid, which is known to boost heart health and raise hemoglobin levels.
“Eating raw liver is so good for you,” writes Montag in the caption of her video, where she is seen taking a mega bite out of a slab of raw liver. “There are so many health benefits to eating liver, animal organs, raw liver, so you can see I already had a huge bite here.” After chewing and swallowing, she continues, “You definitely get used to it.”
Back in 2016, the star opened up about having 10 cosmetic procedures in one day, but now Montag is focusing on looking youthful from the inside-out, and we may or may not be intrigued.
