From her roles in iconic ’90s and early 2000s generation-shaping films and television classics like Charlie’s Angels, St. Elmo’s Fire and G.I. Jane, to more recent thrillers like The Substance, Demi Moore is truly one of the icons of our time. At 61-years-old, the actress, has been shaking up the media industry for several decades, but with her youthful complexion and her signature long, shiny black strands, you’d have no idea she’s a day over 40.
Moore’s waist-skimming black hair has been the ultimate healthy hair inspiration for years, and we’ve come to associate the actress with her lengthy ‘do. But, as part of a new role Moore is playing in Paramount+’s Landman, the star debuted a shocking change to her classic look, appearing on screen with a stylish lob that exudes corporate-girl realness.
Demi Moore’s New Lob for Summer
Murmurs about Taylor Sheridan’s Landman have been circulating for quite some time, but just this week Paramount+ revealed the first official look at the upcoming series that follows individuals in the high-stakes world of the Texas oil rig industry. Amongst the star-studded cast that features icons like Jon Hamm and Billy Bob Thornton is our beloved Demi Moore, who is seen in the previews for the series rocking a hairstyle we have yet to see from her: the lob.
Swapping her feet-long strands for a shoulder-length ‘do, Moore’s character in Landman rocks one of the most viral haircuts of late — the “lob” or the “clavicut.” Generally interchangeable, the two terms refer to a medium-length cut that falls just below the shoulders, brushing the collarbone. While we of course love Moore’s classic long style, the lob suits her perfectly, totally encapsulating that corporate-chic energy necessary to her character’s hustle-and-bustle, big bucks lifestyle. Landman is set to premiere this coming fall, but we can’t wait to see where Moore takes her lob in the meantime.
