The fragrance landscape begins to shift this month as early signs of spring inspire a move toward fresher, lighter compositions. We're finally feeling compelled to swap our heavier winter staples for more uplifting aromas focusing on florals and fruity interpretations of traditional gourmands. Whether you prefer something crisp and light or deep and indulgent, or perhaps you’re on the hunt for a new signature scent, there’s are several noteworthy launches in the category this month. Below, see our list of the best new fragrances for March, which can change your mood and express your personal style with a quick little spritz.

Summer Fridays Sunlit Vanilla Eau de Parfum ($82)
Summer Fridays Sunlit Vanilla Eau de Parfum ($82)
If you love vanilla, this will be your new scent for summer. It's a cozy gourmand, but somehow feels light enough to wear year-round. “We have always had a love of scent and flavor, especially vanilla," say founders Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland. "There's something about it that takes you someplace warm and nostalgic, just like a Summer Friday. From our most popular Lip Butter Balm flavors, we learned that our community loves a gourmand scent. And from our limited-edition perfume trio, we learned you weren't interested in a new format. You wanted the classic fragrance experience. We took those learnings, added our own love of elevated gourmand fragrances and let it all become the inspiration for our very first eau de parfum. You've been with us from the beginning, from that very first vanilla Lip Butter Balm to everything that followed. This felt like the most natural next chapter and we hope you love our fragrance as much as we do.”

Dolce&Gabbana Dolce Violet Alcohol-Free Perfume Gel ($59)
Dolce&Gabbana Dolce Violet Alcohol-Free Perfume Gel ($59)
Alcohol-free fragrance is one of the biggest trends we'll see this year in the category, and with that comes new, travel-friendly formats like gels, balms and sticks. This chic, pocket-size perfume gel (the brand also launched it in two other scents) glides onto skin (it's also suitable for sensitive types) and lasts up to 16 hours.

Kurky Eau Parfumée by Maison Francis Kurkdjian ($195)
Kurky Eau Parfumée by Maison Francis Kurkdjian ($195)
This new interpretation of the original Kurky Eau de Parfum launched last year is designed for both children (ages 3 and up) and adults: "adults with a child’s spirit, or children dreaming be grown-ups." The formula has been reimagined to be alcohol-free and water-based, but maintains the same "playful, candy-like tutti-frutti notes in a softer, juicier light, melting into creamy musks and vanilla for a tender, comforting finish."

Snif Only Sunshine Eau de Toilette ($68)
Snif Only Sunshine Eau de Toilette ($68)
Snif teamed up with mega beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira to launch her first-ever (and limited-edition) fragrance, which amassed a waitlist of more than 60,000 people. "This is paradise in a bottle," says Nogueira. "It's an intoxicating, summer scent—a little bit sensual, very playful and fun. The way it smells when you first spray it versus how it dries down is completely different, and the journey to get there is amazing. I will literally drench my whole body in this—it smells so good. It is guaranteed to get you compliments."

Kilian Paris Forbidden Games Eau de Parfum ($295)
Kilian Paris Forbidden Games Eau de Parfum ($295)
Renowned perfumer Calice Becker worked with founder and creative director Kilian Hennessy to create what the brand is calling "the ultimate scent of temptation" that "captures the thrill of a forbidden fruit." This luxurious, fruity-floral fragrance is one that will definitely keep the compliments coming.

D.S. & Durga Debaser in Bloom Eau de Parfum (Starting at $225)
D.S. & Durga Debaser in Bloom Eau de Parfum (Starting at $225)
The first-ever flanker of the brand's cult-classic Debaser EDP that launched in 2015, this "remix," as the brand is calling it, is "the same song; different mix." If you know the original, it's a "hot, humid and sexy" scent inspired by indie rock and heavy on the fig (in a good way). This new, lighter interpretation keeps fig front and center, but layers in gardenia and the nostalgic scent of cassette tapes.

Emporio Armani Power of You Eau de Parfum (Starting at $78)
Emporio Armani Power of You Eau de Parfum (Starting at $78)
In true Armani fashion, this fruity-gourmand fragrance (key notes include passionfruit and vanilla) makes a statement. “The message of the campaign and what I would like to get across is that of owning your power and radiating positive energy," says Kendall Jenner, Armani's global fragrance ambassador. "[This perfume] is all about finding that inner strength, embracing your sensuality, and lighting up any room that you walk into.”

Amouage Love Hibiscus Eau de Parfum ($395)
Amouage Love Hibiscus Eau de Parfum ($395)
The first Amouage fragrance created by in-demand perfumer Jérôme Epinette, this feminine, gourmand-floral scent was inspired by "the striking hibiscus flowers of Oman and nostalgic caramelized palmiers." We love the sweet, buttery essence and woody drydown, but it smells very different on everyone who wears it.

Solférino Paris Thé au Palais Royal Eau de Parfum ($330)
Solférino Paris Thé au Palais Royal Eau de Parfum ($330)
A new haute parfumerie house from fragrance giant Interparfums, Solférino Paris is "a nod to the company’s headquarters at 10 rue de Solférino in the French capital." Each of the 10 fragrances in the collection is genderless and inspired by "a magical moment in an exceptional place at the heart of the city."
One of our favorites, Thé au Palais, is a musky, woody, oolong tea scent spotlighting the beautiful Palais-Royal. IFF perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault describes it as “a fragrance of light, evoking a cup of tea shared in solitude under the arcades surrounding the sumptuous gardens of this historical site.”

Ellis Brooklyn ISLA SIRENA Eau de Parfum ($115)
Ellis Brooklyn ISLA SIRENA Eau de Parfum ($115)
A luxury beach vacation in a bottle, this solar scent transports you there with one sniff. Inspired by "the ethereal beauty and fantasy of mermaids," it's a "sensual and radiant" fragrance you won't want to stop wearing as the weather heats up. "A few years ago, after my divorce, I decided to take myself to St. Barths for my birthday," says founder Bee Shapiro. "I went solo, and it was a transformative experience for me. Having kids, a company and an overall busy life, I don't do many things by myself anymore. It was a time to reconnect with who I was and also just to soak in the beauty of luxury that is St. Barths. ISLA SIRENA is inspired by that trip—the coconut water, lime and vanilla are all incorporated in my scent memories."

Memo Paris Cap Camarat Eau de Parfum ($340)
Memo Paris Cap Camarat Eau de Parfum ($340)
Warm and enveloping like a summer breeze, this solar gourmand transports you to a happy, sunny place. The brand describes it as "radiant and optimistic, instilling a gentle joy and leaving behind a luminous trail, like the promise of an endless summer." Plus, for a limited time, the fragrance is available in two bottles: One features a lighthouse on the shore of the French Riviera; the other is a colorful collaboration with Italian artist Olimpia Zagnoli, which we have pictured here.
