The Innovative Home Fragrance Collection for Non-Candle People

The first product of its kind, and it really works.

I am totally a candle person—there’s always one burning in my house, and when there’s a sale on my favorite scents, I stock up. However, not all people share my enthusiasm. Environmental experts have said certain candles can emit potentially hazardous chemicals that can be dangerous to your health, and many people with asthma or those who are prone to migraines steer clear of them because they can prompt a coughing attack or serious headache.

If you’re one of those non-candle people but you still want your home to smell good, you may have turned to diffusers to solve your problem. No open flame, no smoke, no emission. But, you still have to deal with the bottle of scented oil and you have to remember to flip the sticks to refresh the fragrance. Well, not anymore.

A brand-new, first-of-its-kind product from NEST called Liquidless Diffusers ($60), gives you a maintenance-free option for home fragrance, and it really works. Instead of placing the wooden sticks into a bottle of scented oil, the sticks themselves are scented (the brand dubbed them ScentSticks) with pure fragrance oil and crafted from sustainably sourced paper.

It’s super user-friendly (you couldn’t mess it up if you tried)—you place the sticks in the chic metal base and off you go. If you have a larger room and you’re looking for a bit of a stronger scent, just add more sticks (each stick lasts for up to 30 days and you can buy refills in packs of five for $34). In my one-bedroom apartment, three sticks perfectly perfume the space.

The brand currently offers the new diffusers in three of its best-selling scents:
Bamboo, Grapefruit and Moroccan Amber. Personally, I’m a sucker for the Bamboo because it’s bright, fresh and a bit floral without being too feminine, but each scent offers something unique to complement different home interiors, and I can’t wait to see which scents the brand adds to the lineup next (fingers crossed for Ocean Mist & Sea Salt, and a yummy holiday collection too!).
