Born into the legacy of the late Bill Kimpton, Marcia Kimpton may be a bit of a hotel heiress, but she’s much more than just a namesake. Between her roster of film projects, new travel and film app and late-night travel talk show, Kimpton is always on the move. To stay grounded, morning mushrooms, a good facial and a great bottle of wine do the trick.

Meditative Mornings

“I used to love my coffee first thing every day, but now I get up and have my Four Sigmatic Calm Organic Mix with Reishi Mushrooms and I no longer need caffeine. I also try to watch the sunrise, thank the universe and the divine for another morning, and do a 10-minute meditation before I start my day.”

In Good Hands

“My favorite facialist is Carole Maggio in Redondo Beach. She has so many services I’ve never had before. Plus, she patented her famous facial exercises—Facercise—and they really work. For makeup, Kurumi Uchino Schulz is by far my favorite for all my film and TV projects.”

Packed Up

When you travel as much as Kimpton, a tried-and-true beauty regimen that keeps you looking your best between facials and salon visits is a must. The products that are always in the heiress’s toiletry bag: SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum ($295), K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask ($75), SkinCeuticals P-TIOX ($150) and Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray ($42), to name a few.

Around the World

While Kimpton names Bhutan as her favorite place in the world, the south of France is another can’t-miss in her expert opinion. “La Môme Plage is a restaurant on the beach in Cannes. Nothing is sexier than that restaurant. Best DJ, food, service and view of the Cote d’Azur.”

Personal Philosophy

“My current mood is inspired and introspective. I’m working on a documentary about how I made my spiritual movie BARDO BLUES, so I’ve been asking myself a lot of questions lately, such as how does one navigate the ‘bardo’ in this life and find heaven within oneself with so much darkness in our lives?”
